Bucharest Street, number 17. Athenian nights, cognac nights, are changing.

Just then, at the end of 1957, a unique secular story begins with Fotis Krikzonis as the protagonist.

A brilliant casting of personalities such as Psathas, Sofocles Venizelos, Papaligouras, Lidorikis, Romas, Tsirimokos, Eleni Vlachou, etc., politicians, journalists and people of art, surround him around the bar.

The story of 17 printed in newspapers. "New York Times", "Life", "Herald Tribune", host on their pages the "Amfiktyon" club, as the patrons then called the 17th.

Summer evening, 1962. The door opens and Frank Sinatra enters. And while Fotis charged 21 drachmas for whiskey at the time, Frank gave him 30 drachmas, on the condition that he drank from his own old fashioned glass. They immediately became friends, and Sinatra shortly afterwards told him "..tomorrow I'm going on a cruise but when I come back, I'll come here again."

Sinatra visited again on the 17th and invited Fotis to his concert at Herodion. When Fotis was unable to attend, Sinatra sent him twelve of his dedication records as a gift.

At the same time, 17 was visited by many other celebrities of the time, such as Sophia Loren, Marlon Brando, Aristotle Onassis, Jackie Kennedy, Stavros Niarchos, etc.

Fotis Krikzonis continues to make new unique cocktails, such as "Bullshot", "Orgasm", "Amilito Nero", etc., all internationally recognized by the London Bartenders Association.

We are in the year 1992 and in 17 the direction and concept change, but not the soul.

At its new address, at number 2 Lycabettus Street, 17 complements its famous cocktails and drinks with fine food.

The new generation, Lambros, Michael and Althaia Krixonis, with the constant support of their father Fotis, take over the upgraded 17.

17 have hosted, and continue to host, all the Prime Ministers and Prime Ministers of Greece, from the post-colonial period onwards. Also, important people of letters and the arts, scientists, as well as many personalities of public life, visit 17 while many of the decisions concerning recent Greek history have been taken at the tables of 17.

The man who brought the modern detective novel to Greece, Yiannis Maris, is inspired by 17. His novel "The Girl of 17" is a great success and later, as a film, it wins the award for best film at the Thessaloniki Festival. Note: He preferred Vat 69 whisky.

Fotis Krikzonis, tireless and accomplished professional, decides to include the essence of his knowledge and experience, through two careful publications. In his book "The Art of the Cocktail" the art and technique of creating delicious cocktails is condensed, while in his second book "I, the Bartender" he generously shares the essence of an entire life.

Several contemporary writers, such as Christos Homenidis, Augustos Korto, Mimis Androulakis, etc., are inspired by the legendary environment of the 17th century.

The 17 continues its brilliant course, receiving continuous awards from well-known institutions concerned with tasting and the high quality provided.
